The Fenbi International Superstars officially formed on July 4th 2004 at an Independence Day party as fireworks and bombs were bursting in air. While the music originated as merely entertainment for themselves, they quickly learned of its vast appeal to all ages and walks of life.
Other highlights would follow, including on St. Patrick's Day 2005 where they had an entire bar participating in an Irish Jig contest and a Beltane festival in the woods, where people drank love potions and fell into fires. In June of 2005 they walked off the street to perform for over 200 people at the Concert on the Docks series with Centrum Arts in Port Townsend, WA. When the other band finally arrived, a grateful audience (and organizer) showered Fenbi with money.
The Fenbi International Superstars hope their music will allow them the luxury of world travel at a reduced cost. They hope to tour Europe including Iceland, and such faraway places as Japan, Australia, and Central and South America. Their independent ethnomusicology study will serve to educate both themselves and the people they meet in their travels.
